Project Description

OrcaJam! 2015 is an event where a bunch of aspiring and experienced (or NOT) game designers get together and work on what they love – making games – for 48 hours.

The theme of the OrcaJam! 2015 was the word “Fathom”.

Having such an ambiguous word as a basis prompted the creation of an abstract and ominous game. The objection of the game is to seek the “true light” in the depth of the sea avoiding the “false light” of the deep-water creatures.

The restrictions of the OrcaJam (participants have only 48 hours for their projects) have led to the fact that some of the ideas represented in this gallery didn’t make it to the prototype version of the game.

Fathom Soundtrack

In order to expresses an eerie atmosphere of the deep-water world this atmosperic soundtrack was created by using a MIDI keyboard and ambient sounds.
